Baking Cookies

   Baking can be very rewarding—especially when the fruits of your labor turn out healthy and delicious. There is a cookie for almost every taste. Baking cookies is a wonderful pastime that results in even more wonderful treats. Here is  our favorite cookies.

   Make Oatmeal  Cookies: Whole grain oats add a heart-healthy element to this popular treat. To make them gluten-free, substitute oat flour for the all-purpose flour and make sure that your oats are labeled gluten free. You can also add dried cranberry, walnuts or chocolate chunks . To make your recipes even more inventive, try different varieties of chocolate chips, like white, milk or bittersweet.
